Other activities include (available to both ticket holders and non-ticket holders):
  • The Hockey Hall of Fame - memorabilia and displays from the historic Toronto site can be viewed.
  • The FanFest / KidzZone  - interactive games will be on site including virtual goalies and shooters for fans to try their luck.
  • Montana’s Tailgate Party – entertainment and refreshments available on McKellar Street on Friday March 26.
  • Social/Beer Gardens located in the Fort William Curling Club featuring 21-Gun Fun on Friday and the Zebras on Saturday.  DJs will play music between sets.
The 2009 and 2010 CIS Men's Hockey Championships are officially named the Cavendish University Cup presented by TBayTel. All games will be at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay in front of a record number of fans anticipated to hit over 3700.

Lakehead University President Dr. Fred Gilbert said there is a palpable air of excitement at the school and in Thunder Bay already. "Lakehead University is very pleased to be hosting the CIS Men's Hockey National Championships for the next two years. Not only the University but also the City of Thunder Bay will do everything possible to make the events memorable for all involved. CIS hockey is not just competitive; it is the best and most entertaining hockey in Canada outside the NHL! So mark your calendars and prepare to celebrate the best teams in the country for 2009 and 2010 in Thunder Bay."

Ticket packages for the tournament are on sale now with tournament passes costing $105 for Adults and $70 for Students and Children.  These passes will allow entry at all seven games of the tournament, including the championship game.  Fans can purchase tickets at the Fort Williams Gardens box office or by calling (807) 625-2929.
