Wolves 6th after Day 1 at OUAs

The Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s golf team got off to an excellent start Monday at their first-ever OUA Championships being held at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club in Ottawa.  Lakehead recorded a team total of 310; good for sixth place at the 12-team championships after the first day of the two-day tournament. 
 
Five players golf for each team; with the top four scores going toward the team score.  The University of Ottawa leads after Day One; recording a team score of 291.  
 
Individually,  Thunderwolves captain Andrew Scavarelli shot a hot 73; tied for fourth best with three other golfers.  The top individual score was a 67 by Ottawa’s Robert Mustard.  The Wolves Cory Southon showed his stuff as well; shooting a 74; tied for fith on the day.
 
Aaron Pakylak shot a 79, David Lai an 83, and Dan Antilla recorded an 88.
 
Final Day action begins Tuesday morning at 8:00 am EST at the Royal Ottawa.
