Lakehead University Women’s Hockey Program is excited to announce the co-coach for the upcoming 2018/19 season.
Chad Clower will be joining his wife Kate Clower behind the bench. Chad played his minor hockey career in Kelowna before playing Junior A for the Vernon Vipers. From there, Chad accepted a full-ride Division 1 scholarship to Minnesota State University. After injuries forced Chad to retire from playing competitively, he accepted a position with the Mankato West High School Hockey Program as head coach of the Junior Varsity team and assistant Coach of the Varsity team where they lead the team to their first ever State Hockey Tournament appearance. Upon moving back to Thunder Bay with Kate, he has been involved as a coach with the Norwest Minor Hockey Association.
We are extremely excited to have Chad as part of this program! Not only does he have both coaching and playing experience but he also understands the student-athlete demands which will be a major asset to our team.
