Do you have to have marathon experience to participate?

NOT AT ALL! All abilities are welcome to participate in this fun event. Participants can choose to run, walk, or stop as often as they please.

Does each team member have to run the same distance?

One of the advantages of the indoor track is that team members can switch as often as you want to – allowing all abilities to participate. There are no rules related to the minimum or maximum number of laps each team member must run. Some teams may choose to have their more experienced runners run more laps than their less experienced runners. Similarly, relay runners may run all of their laps consecutively, or choose to take turns.

Will there be a photographer on site?

Yes! Lakehead Athletics Photographer will be covering the event and will have a link on the website where you can view or purchase photos. Photos will also be available for viewing on the Children’s Centre Foundation Facebook Page. Feel free to LIKE and SHARE.

Can I wear headphones during the race?

We will have a DJ playing tunes throughout the race for your entertainment – requests are welcomed. Unfortunately headphones are not permitted, as a safety concern, as all runners are close together on the closed track.
