Men’s Hoops off to Winnipeg

The Lakehead men’s basketball team will play a pair of non-conference games this upcoming weekend in Winnipeg before the regular season kicks off on October 27th. The Thunderwolves will take on the Winnipeg Wesmen on Friday night and the Manitoba Bisons on Saturday.

Lakehead faced the Winnipeg Wesmen earlier in September and swept them 90-83 in the first game and 99-84 in the second.

The Thunderwolves are coming off a tough weekend, losing to the Algoma Thunderbirds 76-50 last Friday and a heartbreaking 86-85 loss the following night. The ‘Wolves will be looking to bounce back this weekend to start the OUA season off on the right foot.
