Dollar_signAll game management and sports information jobs are part-time positions available from September to February. The work takes place primarily on weekends. These positions are sport-specific, therefore successful candidates must be very familiar with the playing rules and regulations of the sport to which the role applies.

 Desired Attributes:

  • Experience playing and/or coaching the sport is an asset;
  • quick thinking;
  • adaptable;
  • attentive, and
  • confident in their performance in a fast-paced varsity game setting.

Some roles require candidates to be computer efficient or possess special skills (numeracy, inter-personal). Training will be provided for all positions and we are seeking individuals of any age who are eager, willing to learn, and be a part of the varsity athletics game management and/or sports information team for both the current and future varsity seasons.

Facilities Attendant

The Lakehead University C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse is looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills, and ability to maintain exceptional facilities to provide a safe and clean environment for patrons. As a facilities attendant you are responsible for membership sales, laundry service, as well as general maintenance and cleaning of facility. Applicants must have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Strong Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience working with computers
  • First Aid Certified
  • Receive payment/issue receipt
  • Attention to Detail
  • Work independently and in a team environment

  • camera operators

Campus Recreation Hockey Referees

Campus Rec is now accepting resume and cover letters for Hockey Referees.

  • Must have Level 3 Certification for the 2016-2017 season through Hockey Canada
  • Must have prior experience officiating adult recreational hockey
  • Must be able to officiate games late at night on weekdays and weekends
  • Must have completed “Respect in Sport” course (formerly ‘Speak Out’)
  • Must have a current background check within 3 years.
  • Preference will be given to Lakehead University and Confederation College Students
