Thunderwolves Looking for their First Home Game Wins of the Season

| Basketball (W), News

Women (3-3 non-conference)

The Women’s basketball team will once again play the University of Manitoba this upcoming weekend in the Thunderdome.

The ‘Wolves recently beat the Bison this past weekend 67-57.

“Manitoba is a tough match up for us. They have skilled forwards that play like guards, they all shoot the three and they change their defences up between man and zone”. -Coach Kreiner.

“Manitoba’s Nicole Konieczny lit us up for 20 points, shooting 8-12 from the field”, said Coach Kreiner. “We also turned the ball over 25 times last weekend, two areas we will need to improve on.”

While looking to take care of the ball and contain strong players, the Women will also be looking to win their first home games of the 2016-2017 season.

“An also exciting note is that Ashley Randall’s sister, Taylor Randall, is playing for the Bison’s and will be competing in the Thunderdome this weekend. Ashley was a tough hard working player for the Thunderwolves for four years and her sister is a skilled tough player to look out for”. – Coach Kreiner

The Bison currently hold  a 1-4 non-conference record compared to the ‘Wolves 3-3.

The Women will face the Bison in the Thunderdome at 7:00pm Friday and Saturday.

Webcast will be available via OUA TV
