LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES SECOND RECRUIT 

 

Brampton Native Kirpa Brar Commits To The Thunderwolves 

 

Lakehead University head coach Jon Kreiner has added some outside shooting and a lot of experience in 5’4″ Kirpa Brar. Kirpa was the captain of the Legacy Prep Panthers this season and is currently playing for the 8-2 Brampton Warriors Juel Program. Coach Jon Kreiner on his newest recruit;

 

“We have a really great player and person in Kirpa Brar. Kirpa will fit in immediately and provide us with some outside shooting but she is more than that. She is an extremely hard worker that gives her all on both ends of the court. She is a solid defender and a heads up player. More importantly, Kirpa will bring tremendous leadership and will push us to be better.”

 

The Thunderwolves family is excited to add Kirpa to the line up; Kirpa’s thoughts on her commitment to Lakehead;

 

“The Lakehead Thunderwolves are one big family, and that is the main reason I decided to commit here. The environment the team creates for one another on and off the court is uplifting and inspiring. From the moment I stepped onto the campus for my first visit, I was met with kindness and warmth from the coaching staff as well as the players. I know Lakehead will not only help me achieve my athletic goals, but my academic goals of becoming a high school teacher as well through their concurrent education program.”
