Thunder Bay, ON – Thursday, August 26, 2025 – Lakehead University Athletics is proud to announce the 2025 class of inductees into the Lakehead Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing outstanding builders, athletes, and teams whose contributions have shaped the legacy of both Nor’Westers and Thunderwolves sports.
This year’s induction carries special significance as it marks both Lakehead University’s 60th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the reintroduction of men’s varsity hockey. The breadth and richness of this slate reflect the University’s deep gratitude to the individuals who have shaped our community and championed varsity athletics over the decades. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Wall of Fame selection committee for their thoughtful dedication in assembling such an outstanding class of inductees.
The induction weekend will take place during Lakehead’s Homecoming Weekend on October 3 – 4, 2025, featuring in-game recognition at the men’s varsity hockey game on Friday evening, followed by the official Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday at the Lakehead University Hangar.
“These individuals and teams have made a remarkable impact on Lakehead Athletics,” said Tom Warden, Director of Athletics. “It is a privilege to celebrate their contributions and welcome them into the Hall of Fame during this milestone year for our university and our men’s hockey program.”
