The women’s basketball team came up against a hot-shooting Wilfrid Laurier squad on Saturday, falling 77-60.
The two OUA leading teams in made three pointers lived up to their reputation in the first half, combining for 12 triples in the first half. Unfortunately for the ‘Wolves, nine of them belonged to the Golden Hawks. Bridget O’Reilly hit three from the land beyond in the first half. O’Reilly finished with 14 points and six rebounds.
While Lakehead put together a strong third quarter, they were unable to sustain their momentum for the full 40 minutes, as Laurier pulled away, winning the fourth quarter 19-8.
