Brock continued to put up a fight in the next two quarters but the Thunderwolves were able to maintain their lead and take home the win.
Tonight’s win solidifies that the Wolves will host an OUA playoff game on February 21st at 7:00pm in the Thunderdome.
“I thought we were more consistent defensively tonight. Struggled at times containing and rotating to the 3 but we competed hard and rebounded much better. Leashja carried us this weekend but tonight Jerika and Bridget stepped up and had solid games.” – Coach Jon Kreiner
Leashja Grant had 21 points, 17 rebounds and both Jerika Baldin and Bridget O’Reilly put up 14 points each.
The Wolves were much better on the boards tonight, out-rebounding Brock 48-37.
Lakehead will play their last two regular season home games next weekend against Laurier.
