    • Summary of Role: ActiveU Counsellors are an integral part of our summer camp team. Responsible for the supervising campers and delivering quality programming.

    • Summary of Role: ActiveU Senior Counsellors serve as mentors to the counsellor staff team and are responsible for supervising campers and delivering quality progamming.

    • Summary of Role: ActiveU Supervisors support the programming and administration of ActiveU summer camps, and assist with counsellor team management.

    • Summary of Role: The ActiveU Administrator is responsible for keeping camp organized and serving as a point of contact to families in the office.

    • Summary of Role: Educational, recreational and cultural programming is provided to youth both in school and on campus. The Achievement Program team is searching for a diverse group of staff to assist with program delivery to equity deserving youth in our region.

Campus Recreation Positions

  • Intramural Referee – Applications currently closed.
    • Summary of Role: Responsible for officiating intramural leagues and tournaments. Mainly evenings and weekends.
  • Intramural Supervisors – Applications currently closed. 
    • Summary of Role: Responsible for on-site management of league nights and tournaments.
  • Intramural Scorekeepers – Applications currently closed.
    • Summary of Role: Responsible for accurate record keeping of intramural games.
  • Group Fitness Instructor – Currently accepting applications! Please apply via email to manager.athletics@lakeheadu.ca with your resume, cover letter, and proof of certifications, along with your teaching availability.

Varsity Sport Positions
  • Varsity Event Staff – Applications currently closed. 
    • Summary of Role: Assist with operations for Thunderwolves Basketball/Volleyball home games, and other major special events.
  • Varsity Events Assistant – Applications currently closed.
    • Summary of Role: Assist the Coordinator, Events & Initiatives with meeting all OUA requirements for Varsity Game Conduct.

    • Summary of Role: Assist with table responsibilities during basketball and volleyball home games – roles include shot clock operator, game clock operator, player clock operator, game sheet, and statistics.

  • Facility Attendant – Applications currently closed.  
    • Summary of Role: Day-to-day operational tasks including facility cleanliness and rental/event support for the Wolf Den, Fieldhouse, and Hangar facilities. Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week.
  • Member Services Attendant – Applications currently closed. 

    • Summary of Role: Facilitate day-to-day operations of the central check-in desk which includes duties such as access control, membership sales, program registrations, and customer service support. Candidates must be willing to work at least 15 hours per week.
  • Lifeguard – Applications currently closed.
    • Summary of role: Oversee the safety and supervision of pool users. Candidates must submit a minimum of 7 hours per week of availability.
