Your Lakehead Thunderwolves Women’s basketball (2-3) take on the Carleton Ravens (4-0) tonight, looking for that win after last nights close defeat against the Ottawa Gee-gees.
The Thunderwolves trailed behind after the 1st ending 15-22 after 10 minutes. Kelly-Ann Coulombe led with 8 points followed by Ally Burke with 4 and Kirpa Brar with 3.
Thunderwolves couldn’t put up the points in the 2nd and Carleton had their foot on the gas and pulled away allowing Carleton to have a lead of 14 points, ending the 2nd half at 25-39.
After the 3rd Lakehead trailed my 29 points, 35-64 Carleton. Kelly-Ann kept the lead with 11 points followed by Ally Burke with 7.
The 4th would see Carleton put the pedal to the floor and leave the Thunderwolves eating in their dirt. Carleton Ravens would put up 21 points and Lakehead could only get 6. The final score of the night was 41-85.
Your Women’s basketball will be back in action next week on home court to take on the Western Mustangs on the 24th and the Windsor Lancers on the 25th. Come and support your Thunderwolves in the Thunderdome at 6PM.
