Your Lakehead Thunderwolves Women’s basketball (2-2) take to the Capital for their first game against teams in the East division starting with the Ottawa Gee-gees (2-1).
Period 1 saw the Thunderwolves trailing behind Gee-gees finishing with 9-15. Kelly-Ann Coulombe led with 4 points and Paula Lopez just behind her with 3.
Period 2 saw the Thunderwolves tie the game with a last minute 3 point shot from Ally Burke end the 1st half at 28-28. Ally Burke is leading the Thunderwolves with 14 points.
Period 3 sees the Ottawa Gee-gees pull away from the Thunderwolves ending the 3rd 53-41. Ally Burke kept the points lead with 18.
Period 4 would see the Ottawa Gee-gees win the game 70-62. Tonight’s game was a hard fight for our Thunderwolves but they just couldn’t net the ball in the last minutes of play.
