HOME OPENER WIN!

Lakehead Thunderwolves Women’s basketball (0-2) took on the home advantage against the York Lions (0-2) tonight. Both these teams were looking to grab their first win of the season!

Lakehead Thunderwolves come out strong in the first half of the game leading 29-25. Ally Burke was the leading point scorer with 10 and Kirpa Brar was 2/2 on the 3 point shots. 

The 2nd period saw the York Lions come back tallying the points that Lakehead made but at the end of the 3rd Lakehead led the way 47-40. Ally Burke led the Lakehead Thunderwolves for points with 16 and Kirpa Brar following close behind with 12. 

The 4th period saw Lakehead pull away from York taking a 61-53 win at home. Ally Burke led the Thunderwolves with 17 points. Kirpa Brar put up 15 and Eva Guilera had 10.
