Cross Country Running

Female: Marla Keyes (Thunder Bay, Ont.)

 

Coach Sigsworth: “Marla had a very good first season at Lakehead. At the UW – Eau Claire BluGold she placed 24th in a field of more than 300 runners.  Marla had a bit of the tough race at the Queen’s Open before bouncing back at the OUA Champs last weekend.  There she had her best race of the season finishing 29th.”

 

 

Male: Kevin Tree (Tottenham, Ont.)
Coach Sigsworth: “Kevin ran three races in October and was in the hunt for the win in all three.  At the UW – Eau Claire BluGold open he finished fourth – his only race this year where he did not medal. At the Queen’s Open he repeated his first place finish from a year ago. This past weekend at the OUA Championships, Kevin ran a very strong race breaking away from the field with 2 other athletes on the final lap before getting outkicked to end up third.  His finish earned him first team OUA All-star honours.”
