Lock Lam Commits to the Thunderwolves Men’s Basketball Program

| Basketball (M)
Coach Ryan Thomson and the men’s basketball program announced today the commitment of Lock Lam for next season. A 6’9 wing from Ottawa, Ontario, Lock figures to play heavily into the Thunderwolves future and be an impact player. Lock is a versatile athlete that can guard multiple positions and will be a huge contribution to next seasons team.

“I am thrilled to announce Lock’s commitment to the Thunderwolves family. Lock is a terrific person and a hard worker on and off the court. With his length, athleticism and defensive instincts, the sky is the limit for him. I’m excited to grow alongside with Lock”- Coach Ryan Thomson

Coach Koeslag (Locks Former Coach):

“It is with great excitement that we see Lock Lam choose to attend Lakehead University and follow in the steps of Greg Carter and Anthony McIntosh, two other former St. Patrick’s grads who found a home in Thunder Bay as Thunderwolves. Lock is a big-time talent that will have an immediate impact in U SPORTS. Over his high school tenure, Lock worked and developed his game over his four years here and became a force to be reckoned with across the province. From grade 9 to grade 12 Lock added to his game every year. As a 6’9″ small forward, Lock is a very difficult matchup with his ability to not only play in the post but also step out and hit the three at a very high rate. Defensively he can change the course of a game with his length and ability to protect the rim and rebound the ball. We at St. Pat’s are very proud of all that Lock has accomplished but know that he is still only scratching the surface of what he is capable of.”

Lock will study Sociology at Lakehead.
