Superior North Volleyball Club Competes at SNOWNAMI-Duluth

Formed a short time ago through local try-outs that saw 36+ athletes aged 15 and 16 attend, SNVC 16U Volleyball Team had their first taste of competition this past weekend in Duluth, Minnesota.

Taking part in the 40-team event brought the girls together in a competitive atmosphere for the first time this season. The trials and tribulations of that experience were felt early on with some close losses in the first round as they became familiar with one another. As the first round progressed, the team began to gel winning its fair share of the close matches.

The team, coached by Vanessa Masters and Jasmine Fox, progressed to the playoff rounds finishing with the gold in the Iron Division. For their first competition of the year, (and 3 more on the horizon) this is a great start for the team.

The coaches would like to congratulate all team members for their dedication and great team work to start off the season. The intensity and motivation of the girls was fostered as each game progressed, the coaches were pleased with the team’s play. This is a great building block as they move ahead.

Team Manager Leslie Masters could not have been more pleased with the girls first event and sees positive things ahead for the team, with strong and positive coaching.
