The Thunderwolves men’s basketball team picked up their second win of the season Friday night against the Ryerson Rams in Toronto, ON.

The Wolves came out of the gate hot and refused to let up all game, defeating the Rams 79-77.

“A good team win in a very physical game tonight,” said head coach Ryan Thomson.

“Ryerson does a good job of changing their defence and we need to be ready to adjust on the fly tomorrow.”

Lakehead’s Isaiah Traylor led the Thunderwolves both offensively with 29 points and defensively with 13 rebounds. Laoui Msambya finished with 13 points and Chume Nwigwe finished with 11.

On the other side of the court, Ryerson’s Jayden Frederick led the way with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Right behind him was Keevon Small with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The Thunderwolves will be looking to add another game to their winning streak Saturday, Nov. 2. The tip-off against the Rams will take place at 8:00 p.m.
