The Lakehead Thunderwolves women’s volleyball team is back on the road for the second weekend in a row to play back-to-back games against the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, Jan. 18 and Sunday, Jan. 19.

“We are looking forward to improving from our last matches,” said head coach Craig Barclay.

“Waterloo is a very good team and has been through a lot of five-setters. We are looking to find some rhythm that we ended with last semester.”

Waterloo started the second half of the season with a 3-2 win over the York Lions. The Warriors are currently sitting fifth in the OUA West division with a win-loss record of 5-4.

The Thunderwolves, who currently seventh in OUA West, will be on the hunt to break a five-game losing streak against the Warriors.

“We are capable of competing with any team when we find our rhythm,” said Barclay

Both Saturday’s and Sunday’s matches are set to start at 12:00 pm and will be streamed on OUA.tv.
