Thunderwolves volleyballers host Guelph in last homestand of 2018

| News, Volleyball (W)

The Thunderwolves women’s volleyball team takes to the court this evening in the first of a two-game weekend match-up with Guelph. Lakehead comes into the game 1-4, including losses to undefeated York and nationally-ranked Waterloo.

“I’m looking forward to being back home for our lasts two home games of the first half of the year,” Thunderwolves head coach Craig Barclay says. The Guelph Gryphons enter the weekend at 2-2, coming off a two-game winning streak.

“Guelph is a good team,” Barclay says, “and they will be a great test for us after a tough weekend last weekend.”

Fifth-year Thunderwolf standout Rheanna Geisel is currently averaging over four kills and nearly three digs per set.

“The keys to our success will be limiting our unforced errors and getting positive continuations,” Barclay says.

Games begin at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday at the Thunderdome.
