Track Team Successful at Twin Ports Invite

The Lakehead Track and Field team visited the University of Wisconsin – Superior this weekend to compete in the Twin Ports Invitational.

“It was a good day today and overall the team ran well.  This meet was a good next step before the next three weekends where the competition will be much tougher.”- Coach Sigsworth

Lakehead successfully competed against multiple American teams earlier this morning where the ‘Wolves received first in the Men’s Distance Medley relay as well as the Men’s 4 x 800m relay. Heather Maxfield also won first in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:23.19, four seconds ahead of her next competitor.

The Thunderwolves will head to Minneapolis, MN next weekend where they will compete in the Jack Johnson Classic.
