The Lakehead Thunderwolves, no strangers to the road, will begin their regular season in Toronto against the York Lions followed by the Nipissing Lakers in North Bay. The women’s volleyball team’s first games in the Thunderdome are scheduled for November 11-12 with a double header against the McMaster Marauders.

The remainder of home games will be played in 2017, with seven slated for January and February. Another notable detail is that the Thunderwolves’ schedule is devoid of any ‘triple-header’ weekends that had placed a heavy travel burden on them in past seasons. It is hoped this more balanced schedule will assist in the ‘Wolves returning to the post season after narrowly missing it last year.
