Ashley Gravelle joins Thunderwolves Wrestling

Lakehead University’s wrestling head coach, Francis Clayton, would like to announce the commitment of Ashley Gravelle for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Ashley is currently attending École Publique Renaissance located in Timmins, Ontario where she is coached by Mario Lamarche, Eric Lachance, and Neil Bangs. Ashley is an all-around athlete competing in track and field (discus and javelin), badminton and volleyball.

Ashley has won medals in wrestling at the both the Ontario and Canadian Cadet Championships ending with an antique bronze at this year’s OFSAA Championships – the first OFSAA medal in her school’s history.

Coach Clayton is very excited to have Ashley commit to Lakehead for this fall, “Ashley is a strong competitor and a good student and gives us a lot of depth in the upper weight classes.”

Ashley will be studying Kinesiology at Lakehead in the fall.
