Coach Sigsworth: “Joe started the month by winning the 1000m at the Lakehead vs the World Meet in a new personal best time of 2:32.0. Next up he ran two strong 800m legs on the distance medley and 4 X 800m relays at the UWS Twin Ports Open in Superior, WI. Both relay teams finished first in new meet record times. Finally at the very competitive Jack Johnson Classic in Minneapolis, MN, Joe was 6th in the 600m in a time of 1:22.08 which ranks him 8th in the OUA and 19th in the CIS”

Women: Heather Maxfield
Year: 5
Hometown: Thunder Bay, ON
Program: Psychology

Coach Sigsworth: “After a long struggle with injuries the last 2 indoor seasons, Heather is finally back healthy and racing well. At the UWS Twin Ports Open she won the 800m in a time of 2:23. Next up, she finished 4th in the 600m at the Jack Johnson Classic in a time of 1:39. Each week Heather is getting better and learning how to race again and I am looking forward to seeing what she is able to accomplish this season.”
