Bacarius Dinkins (Jonesville, Florida) had himself a monster series as the Lakehead Thunderwolves upset the No. 4 nationally ranked McMaster Marauders twice over the weekend.
On Friday night, the fifth-year general arts student-athlete, had a game high 27 points and 15 rebounds as the Thunderwolves defeated the visiting Marauders 73-67.
Dinkins, a 6’6″, 220lb power forward, was back at it on Saturday, recording a game high 19 points, six rebounds and four assists as Lakehead completed the weekend sweep of McMaster with a 74-72 victory. With the game hanging in the balance late in the fourth, the Jonesville, Florida native scored 11 of the Thunderwolves 25 points in the frame, including five points in the final two minutes.
The Thunderwolves return to action on Friday night when they travel to Toronto, Ont. to take on the York Lions at the Tait MacKenzie Gymnasium.
