Lakehead men’s basketball (1-2) fell 62-56 to the McMaster University Marauders (2-0) tonight in Hamilton.
McMaster started the game with a 12-0 run and the Thunderwolves battled back but came up short being down 10 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second, Lakehead was able to hold McMaster to only 2 points for the entire quarter. Both teams went into the half tied 21-21.
The teams were back in forth for the majority of the third and it was a 1-point game, 40-39, by the end of the quarter.
Lakehead was down 3-point with less than two minutes left in the fourth and it seemed like it may be a tight finish similar to last nights overtime game, but McMaster was able to hit important free throws, taking the win 62-56.
Bacarius Dinkins had a double double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Mor Menashe had 14 points, 6 assists and Henry Tan contributed 8 points.

The Thunderwolves next game is Friday, November 18 against Western at the Thunderdome.
