The Lakehead men’s basketball team defeated the Brandon University Bobcats today 67-47 in the consolation semi-final at the Wesmen Classic.
Both teams went back and forth in the beginning of game that led to a close finish at the half with Lakehead leading 28-25.
The Thunderwolves and the Bobcats were both 27% from the field in the first half but the ‘Wolves found their momentum in the third quarter where they outscored their opponent 25-11.
Lakehead led 53-36 going into the fourth quarter and carried on their team play to take the 20-point win of 67-47.

Mor Menashe was player of the game, leading the ‘Wolves with 16 points. Bacarius Dinkins had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Lakehead will go on to play Regina tomorrow at 2:00pm in the Consolation final.
