Quarrell Wins Bronze in 1500m

Thunderwolves Track was in action Friday and Saturday at the Bison Classic, hosted by U of Manitoba.

Lakehead’s highlight of the meet was Mason Quarrell (photo left) finishing 3rd in the men’s 1500m on Saturday with a time of 3:59.37.
Other notable results were Tyler White and Marla Keyes both placing 8th in their respective 3,000m races.
“Overall a good meet,” noted coach Kip Sigsworth. “The team continues to improve each weekend. There is still a lot of work to do before OUA’s in 3 weeks but we are heading in the right direction.”
Next weekend the team will divide, with a few athletes attending the Boston U Valentine Invite in Massachusetts, and the rest of the travel squad competing at the UW-Superior Yellowjacket Open.
