“A really strong game tonight”, commented Coach Green.

By the technical time out in the second set, the ‘Wolves had a 6-point lead and ended up winning 25-17.
Brock turned it around; coming out in the third set with a 5-1 run. The ‘Wolves were able to bring it to a two-point game, but in the end the Badgers took the set 25-20.
Similar story during the fourth for the Badgers coming out with the lead and taking the set 25-20 once again. Brock had a total of 10 kills in the fourth set.
The Thunderwolves were determined to take the fifth and final set leading 8-5 but the Badgers were not going to give it up that easy. Brock went on a 10-2 run, taking the set and winning the game.
“A part of growing as a player is getting the experience from these games on how to run an offence and serve when it counts, as well as how to handle coming back and not giving up a lead.”
Kailan Robinson had 15 kills and 9 digs tonight and Leah Mousseau had 10 kills, 12 digs.
October’s athlete of the month, Jennifer Hammerton, had 33 assists, 13 digs and 2 service aces.
Maddie Brown of the Badgers had 12 kills and 5 blocks.
“I am proud of the girls who I think learned something today and learned a little about themselves”, commented Coach Green after the game. “Now we have to put this experience to good use.”
“It’s a tough loss, however they have to grow from it and I think they will.”
The Thunderwolves will challenge the Badgers once more tomorrow at 7:30pm in St. Catharines.
