The Lakehead Thunderwolves Women’s volleyball (0-1) are looking for a win tonight against the Guelph Gryphons (1-0)!
The starting line up is Milena Ljubicic, Alysha Goundrey, Payton Leflar, Virginie Franks, Emily Heil & Lauryn Langley.
Set 1 shows Guelph take the lead 25-11. Lakehead kills come from Virginie Franks, Emily Heil, Alysha Goundrey x2.
Set 2 has Guelph again take the set but Lakehead not too far behind, 25-21. Lauryn Langley and Virginie Franks are both the lead points scorers with 4 each for the Thunderwolves. Emily Heil, Alysha Goundrey & Cayleigh Fossum all have 3 points each.
Set 3 saw Lakehead chasing down the Guelph Gryphons not allowing them to get o far in front. Lauryn Langley is leading the Thunderwolves with 7 points and Virginie Franks just behind with 6! But ultimately they just couldn’t catch up ending the 3rd and final set with a 21-25 defeat.
Catch your Thunderwolves next weekend, 17th & 18th on Home court as they take on the University of Toronto in the Thunderdome at 6PM hoping for that win!
