Game Summary

The women’s volleyball team lost their first non-conference game 3-1 (19-25, 26-24, 14-25, 10-25) to Ryerson at the McMaster Thanksgiving Tournament.

“This afternoon we started very well and came out playing a fast game with good intensity”, said Coach Green after the game. “The first 2 sets were very positive and confident volleyball but the next 2 seemed to have us looking flat and tired”.

The coaches felt that the first two sets showed how well the ‘Wolves can play as a team, but the women must be able to overcome adversity and play consistently throughout the entirety of the game in order to be successful this season.

The ‘Wolves were led by 4^th year Sara potter with 10 kills and 5 digs and, Rachel Moore was a threat behind the serving line and at the net with 5 kills.

Jennifer Hammerton had a strong start in her first game in the OUA with 22 assists.

The women will look to play hard and better their mistakes tomorrow when they play Nippissing at 11:00am.
