The Lakehead women’s volleyball team (0-2) lost to the Ryerson Rams tonight 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-12) at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, ON.

The Rams handily won the first set 25-15, but the Thunderwolves continued to fight back in the second set. In the end, Ryerson swept Lakehead, taking both the second and third sets by 25-21 and 25-12 scores, respectively.

“Tough game tonight. We executed a lot of things well but in the end our adjustment in serve receive was too late or non existent. We gave up runs again tonight and points in bunches are hard to recover from. On the bright side freshman Meghan Routier had solid numbers as she learns this level of play and Libero Ciara Zarn contributed a solid defensive performance” -Coach Chris Green

Meghan Routier had 6 kills and 7 digs along with Leah Mousseau with 6 kills and an ace.

The Wolves wrap up their weekend tomorrow vs Trent at 1:00pm.
