Lakehead Thunderwolves Women’s Volleyball (1-2) are looking to sweep the weekend tonight against The University of Toronto Varsity Blues (1-3).
Set scores in the match were 20-25, 20-25, 22-25.
After the first set the Thunderwolves were down 0-1. Tori Dauvin put on a stellar performance to try and close the distance to only 5 points.
Emily Heil will got herself an ace in the 2nd set. Alysha Goundrey was the player that kept the Thunderwolves on the heels of the Varsity Blues. Unfortunately it was not enough to get a win in the 2nd set. The Thunderwolves trailed 0-2 heading into the 3rd set.
The 3rd set brought intense emotions as the Thunderwolves tried to get a win tonight but the Varsity Blues would not let them to take a full sweep tonight.
Your Thunderwolves will be back in action on December 1st & 2nd were they take on the Brock Badgers in St Catherines.
