1. Who can participate in the Thunderwolves 50/50?
Fans 18 years or older, residing in Ontario at the time of purchase, are eligible to purchase tickets for the Thunderwolves 50/50 draw.

2. How can I purchase Thunderwolves 50/50 tickets?
You can buy tickets online at Thunderwolves5050.com from anywhere in Ontario, online or in person at Thunderwolves hockey, basketball or volleyball games.

3. How much do the tickets cost?
Tickets are available both online and in-person at the following amounts:
1 for $5
5 for $10
40 for $20

4. How will I know if I’ve won?
The winner will be announced in venue during in the last period/quarter of play or online on the specified draw date. The winning number will be posted on the Thunderwolves 50/50 website Thunderwolves5050.com and through Thunderwolves social media channels. Make sure to keep your ticket number handy! Winners with tickets purchased online will receive an email to confirm.

5. When is the first online draw?
Our first online draw will open for ticket sales on Monday, September 29, 2026, and the winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, November 9th during the third period of the Thunderwolves Hockey Game. Online and in-person ticket sales will be available for the remainder of the season.

6. How will I receive my prize if I win?
If you win the Thunderwolves 50/50, the prize will be awarded to you via cheque. Cheques take approximately 2-3 weeks to process.

7. What happens to the money raised from Thunderwolves 50/50?
All proceeds from Thunderwolves 50/50 sales will go directly to Lakehead University student awards and bursaries, supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

8. Can I purchase tickets for more than one draw?
Yes! You can purchase tickets for as many draws as you like; however, only one raffle will be open at a time . Keep an eye on the schedule to ensure you don’t miss out on future chances to win.

9. Can I buy tickets if I’m at a Thunderwolves Volleyball or Basketball game?
Yes, online tickets are available for purchase to anyone 18 or older located in Ontario at the time of purchase. In-person ticket sales are available during Thunderwolves hockey, basketball and volleyball home games.

10. What should I do if I don’t receive a confirmation of my purchase?
If you do not receive a confirmation email after purchasing your tickets, please check your spam folder. If you still don’t see it, contact us at spinfo@lakeheadu.ca for assistance.

12. What happens if I purchase tickets but miss the game?
Don’t worry! As long as you have a valid ticket, you are still eligible to win, even if you’re not able to watch the game. Make sure to check our website or social media after the game to see if you’ve won!

14. What happens to the prize if it goes unclaimed?
Prizes are held for 6 months, after that the amount must be donated to a charity that is not Lakehead University.
