The Lakehead University Thunderwolves are pleased to present the 4th Annual Indigenous Cultural Celebration Night presented by the Lakehead Achievement Program, which will be held on Saturday February 28th just prior to the gold medal matches at 2pm. We are very excited to host this special event during USports WCL 2026 Championships. Below is the schedule of events.

| 2:15 PM | O'Canada - Algonquin School Choir Algonquin Avenue Public school students will be collaborating with Orville Councilor in singing O’Canada in Ojibwe. |

| 2:20 PM | Opening by Elder Beatice Twance-Hynes |
| 2:30 PM | Thunder Bay Indigenous Dance Group featuring Ojibway Alliance |
A local Indigenous artist, Jessica Mamakeesick of Mamakeesick Roots has hand-painted a wrestling shoe that is currently available through an online auction. Proceeds will support Indigenous youth initiatives in Athletics, as well as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour athletic scholarships. Bidding will open on the Lakehead Athletics Facebook page on Thursday morning and will close on Sunday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
