Lakehead Women’s Volleyball heads to the McMaster Thanksgiving Classic

 

The Lakehead women’s volleyball team will compete at the McMaster Thanksgiving Classic this weekend in some non-conference games as they gear up for the regular season. With a new energy, the Thunderwolves are excited to test themselves heading into the 2018-19 season against some tough competition before the regular season begins.

“We are looking forward to this upcoming weekend as it will be a true test for us. We have put in a lot of hard work in training and the whole team is excited to see how it translates to our matches. Our first match is against a very good McMaster team and this match is a great way to see where we stand,” says head coach Craig Barclay

The Thunderwolves take on McMaster at 6PM on Thursday, Oct. 4 and games following will depend on their results. OUA Schools such as Guelph, Nipissing, Waterloo, Brock, and Ryerson are all also competing in the tournament and are who the Thunderwolves will face later this year in the regular season.
