Kevin Tree was in Boston at the BU Valentine’s Day Open, one of the premier meets in North America. Tree ended up second in his heat (and 29th overall) after leading most of the race. His time of 8:16.11 breaks his old school record by 7 seconds. Kevin is currently ranked 5th in the OUA and 10th in the CIS. Next Sunday he races the Pan Am Cross country champs in Columbia.

Coach Kip Sigsworth:

“Some solid results this weekend in Superior. While the times may not have been the fastest it was good to see athletes competing and winning races. It is great to see Heather Maxfield back and running well after being out almost 2 years with various injuries. In Boston Tree ran really tough – towing the field through most of the race before getting out kicked in the last 400m.”
