T-Wolves Look to Repeat at Ski Nationals
The final championship event of the Thunderwolves’ varsity season takes place next week in Whitehorse, as Lakehead’s nordic skiers travel to the Yukon to attend the Canadian College and University National Championships (CCUNC). The event runs March 19-26.
Lakehead comes in as both the men’s and women’s CCUNC title holders, but could face tough competition from familiar rivals Carleton and Laval, among others.
As Lakehead Coach Leif Lennie explains, “We’re looking forward to a hard fought battle in both the men’s and women’s fields. As reigning champions, both teams have a lot to live up to. I feel confident we’ve got both the speed and experience to build upon last year’s success at the national championships.”
