The Thunderwolves women’s volleyball team will head to Guelph, ON to face off against the Gyrphons this weekend for their final road trip of the season.

“Another two big OUA West matchups this weekend vs Guelph,” said head coach Craig Barclay.

“We are battling a few injuries going into the weekend and travelling a little lighter than normal with our roster but our team is resilient. I’m looking forward to watching the team overcome adversity and perform this weekend.”

The Thunderwolves and Gryphons last met at the Wesmen Classic during the exam break. The two teams faced off twice over the course of the tournament. The Thunderwolves took the first match up 3-2, while the Gryphons came back to win the second game 3-0.

The Gryphons are currently 6-6 this season and will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to the McMaster Marauders, while the Thunderwolves will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss to the Windsor Lancers last weekend.

The Thunderwolves’ first game will be played at 7:00 pm Friday, Jan. 31, while their second match is set for 1:00 pm on Saturday, Feb 1st.
