The Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s basketball team is pleased to announce that Jamani Barrett of Brampton, ON has committed to the program.
The 6’8” forward played for the Midland College Chaparrals last season, starting in 16 of 27 games and recording an average of 5.1 PPG & 3.2 RPG. Prior to heading to Midland, Jamani competed for Father Henry Carr of the OSBA.
“I’m excited to join the LU family. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play with my brothers in front of my friends and family back home. I’m looking forward to improving as a player and working towards my degree,” said Barrett.
“I’m very happy to officially announce Jamani as an LU commitment. Jamani is a terrific basketball player and a very smart kid. We’re excited about the passion and effort level that he plays with, in addition to his size and potential moving forward,” said Head Coach Ryan Thomson.
