| News, Track & Field

The Lakehead track team is heading to Winnipeg this weekend to compete in the eighth annual Bison Classic. The meet will take place at the James Daly Fieldhouse (Max Bell Centre at U of Manitoba campus) on both Friday February 3rd and Saturday February 4th.

The meet will consist of over 300 athletes from five universities across the country with a majority of them being CanWest schools including Alberta, Regina, Lethbridge and Manitoba.

Joe McDonough will be going after a 21 year old school record in the men’s 600m currently held by Coach Kip Sigsworth.

“Another very competitive meet this weekend and another great chance to run fast. The team is looking to build upon last weekend’s results and continue to get better.” – Coach Sigsworth
The ‘Wolves ran at the Jack Johnson Classic last weekend in Minneapolis, where they successfully competed against some tough competition. Lakehead will be working hard to continue their success into this upcoming meet.
