Track Team competes at Jack Johnson Classic

Results

The Lakehead track and field team competed at the very competitive Jack Johnson Classic this past weekend in Minneapolis, MN.

First-year Josh Stovel ran in the 3000m with a time of 9:10.25, which was one of his personal best. Joe McDonough had a great 600m race that currently ranks him 8th in the OUAs and 18th in the U Sports. Heather Maxfield ran a great race as she competed in her first 600m race in three years.

“Good meet this weekend.  It was great to see the athletes step up and use the high level competition to make themselves better.  We will use this meet to learn and built into the next two weekends.” – Coach Kip Sigsworth

The team will head to Winnipeg, MB this weekend to compete on February 3rd and 4th in the Bison Classic.
