Online Intramurals

Intramural Sports offers the Lakehead community an opportunity to stay involved in the sports they love, or to try a new sport while they attend university. All intramural sports are designed so that each student can have fun in a safe recreational setting.

Online Intramural Overview

We are excited to be offering a variety or tournaments, single day game nights, and fantasy leagues this semester. A few details that apply to all events are included below:

These leagues are open to all members of the Lakehead Community including students, faculty, staff, and alumni on both of our campuses, or community members from Thunder Bay and Orillia.
Registration is done via google forms for easy access for all of our members (registration links are under each game below).
All games will utilize the Lakehead Campus Rec Discord Channel, for easy communication with our league convener and other participants.

Community Guidelines

Treat everyone with courtesy and respect, and without discrimination (including harassment) because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, family status, or disability.
This expectation prohibits any form of harassment or discrimination.
Avoid any negative interaction or conflict with members of the opposing teams, spectators, officials, conveners, administrators and/or facility staff.
Abide by all rules, regulations and procedures governing the sport, the Intramural Sports Program and the facilities in which they are played.
Act in a safe, responsible manner regarding themselves and others.

NBA2k21 Tournament – March 20th

Missing the basketball court? Look no further than NBA2k21! Sign up as an individual player to compete. Players must already have access to the game on the xbox or playstation consoles. This tournament will be a double elimination style so if you lose your first game don’t worry, you get one more shot at becoming a champion.

The winners of each tournament will win a gift card of their choice from either Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes, or Google Play/Apply Store! Further details will be emailed out to all participants upon registration.

March Madness Pick ‘Em – March 18th Deadline

Are you as excited to watch March Madness as we are?! Join in our bracket challenge!

Bracket Selection Deadline: Your bracket must be submitted prior to the first game. Bracket Selection will open on March 14th, and will close on March 19th. We recommend completing your bracket by the first four on March 18th.

How to Register: Complete this google form to register. Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation with details on how to pick your bracket and join our March Madness Discord.

Winter 21 Offerings & Details – Past

Fantasy Leagues (Hockey & Basketball)

Sign up to participate in our yahoo sports fantasy leagues for the NHL & NBA! The winners of each league will win a gift card of their choice from either Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes, or Google Play/Apply Store!

Day/Time: The drafts will take place on Jan 22nd for both leagues – 7 pm for NHL, and 8 pm for NBA.
Details: Yahoo! Sports will be used to facilitate the fantasy leagues

Among Us Game Night

Want to connect with others from the Lakehead Community in this online game, where you and your crewmate work to prepare your spaceship for departure, while trying to discover who the imposters are? Join us for a night of Among Us!

Day/Time: Mon Feb 1 at 4:30 pm, EST.
Details: Players must have Among Us on any device capable of multiplayer. Room code will be sent through the Among Us Discord & Email prior to game start

Mario Kart Tour Tournament

Join us for a Mario Kart Tour Tournament, right form your phone! Simply sign up using the link below, and you will be sent the private room code to compete against others in the Lakehead Community.
