Birthday Party Offerings

About ActiveU Birthday Bash (Previously known as Field or Gym Birthdays) 

  • In either our Fieldhouse Gym or on 1/2 the Hangar Field, an ActiveU Host will facilitate a variety of activities for your party guests for one hour! These activities can be suited to fit the requests of the birthday child, but we can do most sports, and camp style games, as found in our activity guides! 
  • For the second hour of your party, parties will transition to our party room to enjoy parent-run time (typically food, cake, and presents). 
  • These parties are offered on Saturdays and Sundays during the daytime as facility space permits.

ActiveU Birthday Bash Pricing

  • Cost: $195.00, includes up to 12 guests (Birthday child does not count towards the 12 and is FREE!)
    • A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 7 days of booking. This deposit goes towards your final amount. 
    • The remaining balance is due 2 weeks (14 days) prior to your party, but can also be paid at the time of booking if that is preferred!
    • Have more than 12 guests? A large party is available for an extra $50 and allows up to 20 guests! 

ActiveU Birthday Bash Deposit Policy

  • Deposits for ActiveU are non-refundable and must be paid within 7 days of booking confirmation to secure your spot. Families are welcome to pay the entire party balance at the time of deposit if they wish!

ActiveU Birthday Bash Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be sent to us via email at activeu@lakeheadu.ca
  • Any parties canceled at least 7 days in advance of the party (payment deadline) will forfeit their non-refundable deposit, but will receive a refund if they have pre-paid their balance.
  • Any parties canceled within 7 days of the party will receive a 50% refund on their paid balance. 
  • In case of cancellation, deposits can be transferred to another birthday party within 6 months. Birthday deposits are not eligible for program registrations or facility usage.

HOW TO BOOK & AVAILABILITY

  • Booking for October and November is FULL! December birthday bookings will open on November 1st, at 12:00pm. Please note, any forms received prior to this date/time will not be fulfilled. 
  • Please see this calendar and note the date/time/type of party you would like to request – appointments on this calendar are for AVAILABLE dates! 
  • After viewing the available dates, please use the form linked below! Office staff will process within 2 business days of receipt and confirm via email.

Birthday FAQ’s

  1. Is there food provided? 
    1. Food is not provided. Parents/Guardians are welcome to bring their own food/drinks for guests. Please note that ActiveU does not supply plates/cups/cutlery, and there is no fridge available for use. 
  2. What is included in the party room decorations?
    1. The party room comes with basic decorations which includes table clothes and wall signs. Parents are welcome to bring more decorations if they choose!  
  3. What games can my child participate in?
    1. When confirming a birthday party, parents/guardians are emailed a copy of our Birthday Party Activity Guide. This guide is age specific and lists a variety of activities that the birthday child can choose from! However, if there is a game not currently listed in our guide, feel free to let us know and we can add it! As long as the game is safe to play in the space you have booked, we will assist with making it happen! 
  4. What does a birthday party typically look like?
    1. An ActiveU Field/Gym Party is scheduled for 1 hour of guided activities/games with the birthday host, followed by 1 hour in the party room. During this time in the party room, parents are encouraged to eat, open gifts, and play small games! Please note that the time in the party room is not guided by the birthday host, and is parent-run.
