HIGH FIVE®: The Best Way to Play!

We are excited to announce that Lakehead Athletics is now a Registered Organization with HIGH FIVE®!

What is HIGH FIVE®?

HIGH FIVE® is Parks and Recreation Ontario’s (PRO) comprehensive quality standard for youth recreation and sport programming. Originally developed in 2001, this initiative strives to ensure that organizations are providing the highest quality programs that are grounded in the principles of healthy child development and design guidelines!

Lakehead Athletics is proud to be a part of the HIGH FIVE® organization, and we look forward to providing positive experiences for all campers, in all of our programs!

  • The Caring Leader Principle states that program staff act as a positive role model for children in our programs!

  • The Friends Principle creates an environment for children to feel welcomed and included in the program!

  • The Play Principle encourages creativity, cooperation and fun in all programs!

  • The Mastery Principle allows for children to develop and build skills throughout the programming, ultimately building self-esteem!

  • The Participation Principle encourages children to be involved in all aspects of the program!

How will my child benefit from HIGH FIVE®?
