Lakehead Running Adds Hailee Morisseau to 2017 Roster

Lakehead Athletics and Coach Kip Sigsworth would like to welcome Hailee Morisseau to the Thunderwolves Cross Country/Track Program this upcoming Fall. Hailee comes to Lakehead from Portage Collegiate Institute in Portage la Prairie, MB with a 90% plus grade school average.

Hailee is a multi-sport athlete who has competed in ice hockey, triathlon, cross country running, and track during her high school years.  She was the Manitoba Summer Games Triathlon Champion in the girls 16 – 17 age group in 2016 and finished 4th at the Manitoba Provincial Cross Country Running Championships last fall.

On the Track, Hailee has personal best of 11:23 for 3,000m, 5:25 for 1500m, and 2:36 for 800m.

Coach Kip Sigsworth: “We are excited that Hailee has decided to attend Lakehead University this fall.  Based on what she has done in High School, she has lots of potential for growth and improvement.  I feel that she will flourish here.  She is a great student and has had success in many sports.  With more focus on running training, having a group to train with, and having access to better competition she will be challenged to improve everyday.  I am excited to see how good she can get during her time here.”

Hailee states, “I am looking forward to being part of the team at Lakehead in the fall.  I hope to make a positive contribution to the cross country and track programs.”

Hailee will be studying Psychology when she attends Lakehead in the Fall.
